The Virginia Beach Red, White & Blue Tournaments will
host the inaugural RWB/CCA Small Boat Marlin Tournament for the benefit of the
CCA’s conservation efforts. This
“new” tournament is really an old tournament brought back to life by popular
demand. The fishing days will be either the 28th or 29th captain’s choice. This tournament will be for all boats under 32’ and
outboards over 32’. All prize winners will be subject to a polygraph test.
The tournament and events will be held at Southside Marina
overlooking Rudee Inlet.
The RWB/CCA Small Boat Tournament will kick off an entire week that the whole family can enjoy. Also on Saturday, the Chesapeake Bay Wine Classic Foundation will host its Second Annual Wine, Women and Fishing “Ladies Only” Billfish release tournament. On Tuesday, the Fifth Annual Red, White & Blue Billfish and Gamefish Tournaments will start. On Thursday, the VBRWB hosts the RWB Youth Fishing Experience for the benefit of the Virginia Beach Fund with the assistance of the Virginia Beach Recreational Centers...

*there will be no exceptions!
· Additional registration meal tickets can be purchased for $10.00
· Additional awards banquet tickets can be purchased for $20.00
Scoring
Gamefish will be awarded a point a pound above the minimums weight of each species. The minimum weights for Dolphin and Wahoo are 10 lbs. and 25 lbs for Tuna (Yellowfin, Bluefin and Bigeye).
Trophies
There will be trophies for
the following categories:
First Place Billfish total points
Second Place Billfish total points
Third Place Billfish Total points
Largest Tuna
Largest Dolphin
Largest Wahoo
Most combined Gamefish points (combined weight of one of each species, tuna, wahoo and dolphin
There will be a guaranteed payout of $5,000 based on 50 boats ($100.00 per boat) entering with $3000 going to first place and $1500 to 2nd and $500 to third.
There are additional optional skill levels for prize money. Participation in these level I and level II are progressive. For example, in order to enter Level II, the boat must also pay for Level I. It is not necessary to enter level I or II to be in the Gamefish Jackpot or the Center Console Jackpot
Level I: $200.00
Level II: $300.00
Gamefish Jackpot $100 (total combined weight of largest tuna, dolphin and wahoo) Winner take all!
Center Console Billfish Jackpot $200, winner take all!
Weather Contingency
In the event of bad weather, there will be a drawing on the evening of August 29th for the guaranteed payout prizes and the Tournament will refund $150.00 of the entry fee.
